About the game
Hack is a roguelike game inspired by Dungeons and Dragons, and one of the first roguelike games ever and served as the inspiration for NetHack. RogueBasin describes it as one of the “Major classic roguelikes”. It was written by Jay Fenlason.
In Hack, you play as an adventurer descending into the depths of a dungeon in search for the Amulet of Yendor. A dog will travel with you and can help you in many ways. You will find many items that may or may not be useful and encounter monsters.
As this game is very old, this game is played in the terminal. The dungeon and everything inside it is represented by characters.
