It was released (excluding the videos) under the GNU General Public License in late 2004 by Eidos Interactive. Now development is in the hands of the Warzone 2100 Project (originally: "Warzone 2100 Resurrection Project"). A version was included on OpenSource Game Power volume 2.

== Story == Warzone 2100 takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, where earth's satellites equipped with nuclear weapons were manipulated to attack the earth.

==Gameplay== In Warzone 2100 new developed technology is used to design vehicles. The player chooses turret, body and propulsion which affect speed, health points, armor damage and shooting range of the unit.
